Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd (MCL) is hopeful of achieving its targeted coal production of 112 million tonnes in 2012-13.
The company has produced nearly 82 million tonnes of coal till January 24, said a press statement issued by MCL.
MCL had produced close to 103 million tonne of coal in 2011-12.
“We have been able to produce 82 million tonnes of coal till January 24, and I hope we will be able to achieve our target of 112 million tonnes during the current financial year,” Chairman and Managing Director of MCL A. N. Sahay said in the statement.
