Malabar Gold and Diamonds opened its showroom here on Sunday on the Mahatma Gandhi road and it was the sixty-ninth of the company, inaugurated by actor Hemamalini.
According to a press release, Mr M.P. Ahamed, Chairman of the group, said that the number of showrooms would touch 200 by 2015, as Malabar wanted to extend its operations across the country.
“At present, we have our presence in the four southern states, New Delhi and the Gulf. In the coming years, we want to expand to the northern states as well as Europe and the US. In Andhra Pradesh, we have three showrooms in Hyderabad and one each in Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Kurnool and Tirupati. We are shortly opening showrooms in Kakinada, Rajahmundry, Kadapa, Nellore and other AP towns,” he said.
