Maruti Suzuki India (MSIL) on Tuesday said that it will start deliveries of its newly launched compact SUV, Vitara Brezza, to customers from March 25 (Friday). The vehicles will be retailed from the company’s over 1,800 sales outlets spread across India.

Vitara Brezza, priced between ₹6.99 lakh and 9.68 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), was formally launched on March 8. It is available in seven variants, including a fully loaded, top-end variant with dual tone colour scheme.

Within the first fortnight of its launch, the new vehicle from Maruti Suzuki’s stable has received around 70,000 customer enquiries and 20,000 bookings.

“We are delighted at customers’ response to Vitara Brezza. They have appreciated it for its sporty and muscular design and the combination of features offered at multiple trim levels. Our endeavour now is to deliver these cars quickly so that customers can enjoy their Vitara Brezza,” R S Kalsi, Executive Director (Marketing and Sales), said.

Vitara Brezza marks Maruti Suzuki’s entry into the popular compact SUV segment in India. It is the first car in the country to be certified for offset and side impact crash tests which will be enforced in India in 2017, the company said.

It is offered with DDiS 200 engine (diesel) and uses multiple innovative technologies like intelligent battery management. Available only in diesel engine, the vehicle has a fuel efficiency of 24.3 km per litre, the company added.
