Tyre major MRF Ltd on Thursday outlined its plans to expand its manufacturing facility located at Sadasivpet in Medak district of Telangana.

KM Mammen, Chairman and Managing Director, MRF, called on Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and outlined plans to expand with a new facility and likely investment outlay of about Rs 980 crore.

The MRF manufacturing base in Medak district has been in operation since 1990 and about Rs 4,300 crore has so far been invested in the unit here.

Referring to the improved power supply situation in the State, particularly for the industrial sector, the MRF team said this augured well for the growth of industries, according to a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office.

The Chief Minister said there would not be any power cut for industries as a number of initiatives have been taken to improve supplies and increase power generation in the State. The State’s industrial policy and single window clearance would attract more industries.
