Japan-based Nippon Paint Group today launched odourless air care product which cleanses the air by absorbing the indoor air pollutant, according to a company official.

The latest product from the company would initially available in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh markets. It would be later rolled out in the other markets in coming months, Ramakanth V Akula, President – Decoratives, Nippon Paint (India) said.

“Today Nippon Paint India offers a complete range of eco-friendly and low coatings for concrete, wood and metals. Odourless AirCare is in line with this continuous endeavour of bringing forth paint solutions that are both eco and health friendly”, he said in a statement.

Developed to improve air quality, Nippon Paint Odourless AirCare uses Active Carbon Technology which absorbs free “formaldehyde” from the air and convert it to water vapour while strengthening the paint film, he said.

He said formaldehyde is a very common indoor air pollutant which can be found in all residential units and buildings.

“Nippon Paint Odourless AirCare draws on the strength of Nippon Paint’s experience. It caters to the needs of consumers as well as offers protection against indoor pollutants surroundings”, he said.
