Omega puts up a show for the watch-lover

Swiss luxury watch maker Omega today opened its sixth exclusive boutique in the country at the Taj Krishna in Hyderabad and unveiled for the first time some of its masterpieces.

According to Omega, this one-time showcase, is an expression of the brand's commitment and contribution to the thriving market for luxury goods.. Nearly two dozen watches from its exquisite jewellery range, both for men and women, ranging in price from Rs 3.5 lakh to Rs 24 lakh, will be on display up to September 11.

For watch aficionados these collectibles tell a story of lineage and exquisite watch-making, be it in the sleek Constellation luxury edition, a Seamaster Planet Ocean edition, a Speedmaster, Deville or from its other range.

Mr Ashok Doshi of The Helvetica, the Swiss watch boutique, said, “Watch lovers get an opportunity to pick up one that suits them. We now manage two Omega boutiques, including one at Chennai and plan to open more.”

Omega plans to have 10 boutiques by end-2012. The company has nearly 35-40 per cent share in the domestic luxury market.

The brand is seeking to consolidate its brand in the country by adding more outlets.
