PCI, French firm to float joint venture for nuclear services

PCI Ltd, part of Delhi-based Prime Group, and French firm Onet Technologies have announced the setting up of a joint venture to provide services to the Indian nuclear power industry. The joint venture firm, Onet Technologies India, would be offering nuclear power plant services, including engineering design expertise, service and maintenance work, decommissioning and waste management.

“This is the right time to invest in India, which has a huge potential for nuclear power market... We intend to invest (in India) step by step,”the Onet Technologies President, Ms Dominique Mouillot, told reporters here on Wednesday. While Onet Technologies would hold 70 per cent in the joint venture, the remaining stake would be with PCI. PCI offers technology solutions to power, energy and aerospace industries, among others. Onet Technologies is part of the $1.35 billion Onet Group, which is focussed on providing services to the nuclear industry, a statement from PCI said.
