Leading confectionary player, Perfetti Van Melle India (PVMI), on Monday said it has appointed Rajesh Ramakrishnan as the new Managing Director. He succeeds Ramesh Jayaraman, who has moved to another role within the Group. Ramakrishnan will be responsible for the company’s operations in India and Nepal.

Ramakrishnan joined Perfetti Van Melle in 2014 as Managing Director for Bangladesh. In August 2017, he moved to India as the Chief Transformation Officer. A graduate of XLRI Jamshedpur and BITS Pilani, he has over 24 years experience in diverse fields including sales, marketing and general management in Asia, across categories such as personal care, household care, food & beverage, confectionery and media.
Prior to joining Perfetti Van Melle in 2014, he worked in various companies including Pepsico, HT Media, Marico Industries and Reckitt Benckiser.
