Piramal Enterprises narrows consolidated Q2 net loss to Rs 32.26 cr

Piramal Enterprises today reported narrowing of its consolidated net loss at Rs 32.26 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2013.

The company had posted a consolidated net loss of Rs 92.02 crore for the corresponding period previous fiscal, Piramal Enterprises said in a filing to the BSE.

Total consolidated income of the company has increased to Rs 1,138.89 crore this quarter as against Rs 863.03 crore for the same period year ago.

For the first half of the 2013-14 fiscal, Piramal Enterprises’ consolidated net loss increased to Rs 178.92 crore as against Rs 87.94 crore in the year-ago period.

Piramal’s total consolidated income in first half (April-September) increased to Rs 2,109.09 crore as against Rs 1,610.27 crore in the same period last year.

Shares of Piramal Enterprises today closed at Rs 584.10 per scrip on the BSE, up 1.71 per cent from their previous close.
