PVP’s Tamil film

Irandaam Ulagam is in the post-production stage, and is scheduled for release by the end of August or early September.

This will be followed by another Tamil film,

Vallavanukku Pullum Ayudham , a remake of Telugu super hit
Maryada Ramanna , with Santhanam in the lead. The film, according to Potluri, is slated to roll from next month.

In Telugu, the company is producing a mega budget entertainer Balupu featuring Ravi Teja, Shruti Hassan and Prakash Raj. It is producing another film starring Pawan Kalyan. Besides, the company has acquired the Telugu remake rights of a recent Tamil hit Soodhu Kavvum .

PVP Ventures has financed about 50 films so far, including big projects such as Kamal Haasan’s recent Vishwaroopam . “Our intention is to focus more on the media industry,” said Potluri. Though the group has business interests in real estate, infrastructure and financial services , the company wants to become a one-stop shop for all financial needs of the media industry.

PVP has also acquired the Hyderabad Hotshots, the Hyderabad badminton franchise in the Indian Badminton League, promoted by the Badminton Association of India.
