Raymond to introduce ‘Makers’ as pan-India brand

Raymond is planning to introduce its sub-premium mass market fabrics range, Makers, as a pan-India brand by the end of this fiscal.

Currently, the brand is present in nine states and plans are afoot to introduce it in Gujarat and Rajasthan.

The brand, launched last year, has presence in the eastern markets of West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and Orissa. The north and south India markets, where it introduced the brand, were Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh.

According to Mr Aniruddha Deshmukh, President of Textiles & FMCG, Raymond Ltd, “We are planning to take the brand as a pan-India one by the end of this year.”

Makers, has an entry price range of Rs 120-130 per metre for shirting, while poly viscose fabrics are priced between Rs 250 to 400 per metre.

Raymond competes with the brands such as Siyarams, Vimal and Grasim in the mass market fabrics segment.
