Sayaji IngriTech LLP, a subsidiary of city-based Sayaji Industries Ltd on Thursday signed an MoU with France-based Alland & Robert, manufacturer of gum arabic, a natural food additive, for a proposed joint venture.
The joint venture will leverage the manufacturing and distribution capabilities of BSE-listed Sayaji Industries in the food and food ingredients space in India.
Allan & Robert will provide the technological and gum processing expertise to provide its customers with a quality product that is currently not being produced in India.
Gum arabic, also known as gum acacia, is used in food flavours, beverages, confectionery, dairy, bakery and dietary products among others. Most food-processing multinational players are the primary end users of this product.
Sayaji Industries Ltd, through its flagship unit Maize Products, is a pioneer in the corn wet milling business and is one of the largest exporters in the starch industry.
