Shubh Jewellers clocks Rs 227 cr sales during festival season

Rajesh Exports Ltd’s Shubh Jewellers has clocked Rs 227 crore retail sales during the Diwali and Christmas festival season.

During the Diwali- Christmas season, 80 retail stores of Shubh Jewellers recorded sales of Rs 227 crore, wherein 743 kilos of jewellery was sold in a retail area of about 48,000 square feet.

During the season, there was a footfall of 97,322 customers, and out of this, 64,312 conversions took place with a sales of 79,347 pieces of jewellery. Rajesh Mehta, Chairman Rajesh Exports, said, “Shubh Jewellers on a consolidated basis has recorded an increase of 45 per cent higher sales during Diwali and Christmas festival season, compared to the previous year. The company also has recorded an increase of 37 per cent higher footfalls during the season.”

“We have emerged as the fastest growing retail brand, primarily due to value for money and latest designs offerings. The company’s strength on backward integration is now being leveraged with retail stores expansion,” he added.

The company is now gearing up for the forthcoming wedding season with fresh designs.

“Our R&D department has created 1,000 new designs for the wedding season and these designs are to be introduced in Shubh Jewellers stores from January 15,” said Mehta.

To cater to the ever-growing demand, the company has set up a gold jewellery manufacturing facility at Whitefield in Bangalore, with a capacity to process 250 tonnes of gold.
