ThinkAg, a platform for agriculture and food innovation, plans to link innovators and entrepreneurs to corporates and stakeholders in the industry. The objective is to accelerate innovation in the field.

The platform has been co-founded by Ankur Capital, a venture capital firm, in collaboration with Ram Kaundinya, Raman Ahuja and Hemendra Mathur. ThinkAg, which was launched last week by Harsh Bhanwala, Chairman, National Bank for Agricultural and Rural Development, is a not-for-profit company that will work across five broad themes – smart farming, risk mitigation, supply chain optimisation and nextgeneration nutrition.

The platform will drive investments in food and agriculture by enabling market validation for promising innovations. It offers AgLab, a market-linked innovation programme for scaling up; AgInvest, a pipeline of industry-vetted investment-ready innovation; and AgConnect to fuel innovation.
