United Phosphorus CFO S Krishnan resigns

Agro-chemical firm United Phosphorus today said its Chief Financial Officer (CFO) S Krishnan has resigned from the company.

“As a measure of re-organisation, S Krishnan has stepped down as CFO of the company,” United Phosphorus said in a filing to the BSE.

The company’s share price fell by 0.14 per cent to Rs 138.40 on the BSE.

United Phosphorus posted a 38 per cent increase in its consolidated net profit at Rs 278.4 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2013 as against Rs 201.87 crore in the year-ago period.

Net revenue increased to Rs 2,820.74 crore during the fourth quarter of the 2012-13 fiscal, from Rs 2,132.33 crore in the year-ago period.

During the 2012-13 fiscal, the consolidated net profit rose by 39.42 per cent to Rs 774.60 crore, as against Rs 555.55 crore in the previous year. Total income for the same period jumped to Rs 9,194.52 crore from Rs 7,671.31 crore in 2011-12 fiscal.
