Lutron Electronics, the US-based provider of lighting management systems, has expanded its presence in southern India by opening its second ‘experience’ showroom in Chennai after Bengaluru. It plans to foray into Coimbatore soon, said Manjul Trehan, Director, Sales, Lutron GL Sales and Services Pvt Ltd.
The company provides energy saving, wireless lighting and shade control for hotels, commercial buildings and homes. In Chennai, a leading hotel brand and a residential project developer have deployed the company’s solutions, he told newspersons.
The Signature Studio, a unit of Midas Electricals Pvt Ltd, is the channel partner for Lutron in Chennai. Customers can walk into the showroom for an experience on Lutron’s energy saving solutions, he said. Lutron’s control system can help increase energy savings by automating lighting systems that can be controlled remotely and even through mobile using the company’s app, he said.
In Gurgaon, the company implemented its solutions in 900 flats, and in Bengaluru, it will implement in 200 villas and 200 apartments, he said.
