The store offers non-ferrous metals via 1,200 stock keeping units

Vedanta Metal Bazaar, the e-store of Vedanta Limited, has achieved ₹40,000 crore or $4.7 billion in total sales value since it was launched in February 2024.

A statement from the company said the Bazaar is the world’s largest non-ferrous metals e-store offering more than 1,200 stock keeping units (SKUs) across metals such as aluminium, zinc, lead and copper.

Since the e-store’s platform helps eliminate third-party intermediaries, which is particularly helpful for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), it resulted in a 240 per cent increase in active users and a 35 per cent rise in SMEs registration within six months of its launch. Currently, Vedanta Metal Bazaar’s  customer base includes 60 per cent MSMEs.

The e-store provides hedging services to help buyers manage price risks during the purchase process. The platform also offers embedded financing through partnerships with top Indian banks and NBFCs. This enabled over ₹1,150 crore in sales through the easy-credit ecosystem.

The platform offers aluminium ingots, billets, wire rods, rolled products, copper cathodes, copper rods, special high-grade zinc, special high-grade jumbo zinc, zinc die-casting alloys and lead ingots. It also offers customers access to Vedanta’s low-carbon “green” product range.
