Volkswagen announced that its new soon to be showcased India-specific compact sedan will be named Ameo.
The new car will have its world premiere at the 13th edition of Delhi Auto Expo in February.
Derived from the Latin word ‘Amo’, meaning ‘I love’, VW Ameo will be manufactured at the company’s Chakan facility. By marking its entry into the dynamic compact sedan space, the car is expected to be a game changer for the brand in India.
