Meet to showcase AP as preferred IT destination

With a view to promoting Andhra Pradesh as a destination for information technology industry, the State Government will hold an international ‘Advantage Andhra Pradesh 2011 - The most preferred IT destination' in Hyderabad in March 2011.

Scheduled to be held on March 1 and 2 at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC), the meeting would showcase the strengths of the State in supporting the IT and IT-enabled services industry in the State, Ms K. Ratna Prabha, Principal Secretary (IT, Government of Andhra Pradesh), said here in a press release.

“We will provide a forum for IT and ITES companies, academic institutions, governments, customers of various industries to collaborate and leverage the strengths. We will focus on promotion of small and medium enterprises and the hinterland,” she said.

Roadshow

In order to spread the word on the conference and exhibition, the IT Ministry will organise roadshows in some important cities in the country. “We are going to organise one in Bangalore on February 4 to convey the message to IT and ITES players in Karnataka,” she said.
