Trade union leader M.K. Pandhe dead

Former president of the Centre of Indian Trade Unions, M. K. Pandhe (86), died of cardiac arrest at a hospital here on Saturday. He was also a member of the Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist). At the time of his death, he was President of All-India Coal Workers Federation, Co-President of the International Energy and Miners Organisation, Member, Joint Committees in Steel,Coal, BHEL, BEL and Port and Docks, Member, National Shipping Board, and member, National Maritime Board.
