The Orange Pekoe orthodox leaf grade of Chamraj Estate topped Sale No: 25 of Coonoor Tea Trade Association auctions fetching Rs 220 a kg.

Homedale Estate tea, auctioned by Global Tea Brokers, topped CTC market when Vora Sons bought it for Rs 174.About 94 per cent of the year’s second highest offer of 18.23 lakh kg was sold with prices marginally gaining. Quotations held by brokers indicated bids ranging Rs 70-75 a kg for plain leaf grades and Rs 110-150 for brighter liquoring sorts. They ranged Rs 79-86 for plain dusts and Rs 120-160 for brighter liquoring dusts.
