The Government of India has re-constituted the Rubber Board for another three-year term. Prof. P. J. Kurian, MP, represents the Rajya Sabha and Sri Nalin Kumar Kateel, MP, and Sri Jose K. Mani, MP, represent Lok Sabha on the new Board, a press release issued by the Board said.

The Director and Under Secretary, Plantation, represent the Department of Commerce and the Additional Secretary, Agriculture and Cooperation, represents the Department of Agriculture and Cooperation, Govt of India.

The Additional Chief Secretary and State Agricultural Production Commissioner represent the Government of Kerala, and Secretary, Environment & Forest, represents the Govt of Tamilnadu on the re-constituted Board.

In addition to the above, there is one member from Tamil Nadu and two from Kerala as the representatives of large growers. Six members represent small growers on the Board — four from Kerala and one each from the States of Tripura and Karanataka. Two members represent the manufacturing sector and four represent labour interests. There is one representative of the Rubber Producers' Societies (RPSs) and one to represent other stakeholders. Rubber Production Commissioner is Ex-Officio member of the Board.
