Survey of wheat areas hit by rain

The Deputy Commissioner of Karnal, Mrs Neelam Pradeep Kasni, visited wheat-growing areas of the district that were badly hit by the hailstorm and rainfall on April 17. Mrs Kasni told Business Line that revenue officers have been asked to do a special survey of Girdawari (record of land cultivation). After receiving the report, a fair compensation will be provided through the Government to the farmers, she said.
