Edible oils ruled firm on Monday tracking strong futures amid festival demand and support. On the Bombay Commodity Exchange, palmolein and soya oil increased by ₹2 and ₹5 per 10 kg each. Groundnut oil rose by ₹10. Sunflower and rapeseed oil were steady. Cotton oil lost ₹3. Groundnut arrivals in Gondal-Rajkot mandi were about 9,500 bags and fetched ₹730-1,020. At Rajkot, groundnut oil Telia tin was ₹1,310 (1,300) and loose (10 kg) was flat at ₹820. BCE spot rates (₹/10 kg): groundnut oil 870 (860), soya ref. 740 (735), sunflower exp. ref. 770 (770), sunflower ref. 805 (805), rapeseed ref. 875 (875), rapeseed exp. ref. 845 (845), cottonseed ref. 790 (793) and palmolein 679 (677).
