Groundnut oil remains flat bl-premium-article-image

After improvement in past two days, groundnut oil traded flat at the higher level as demand was slow. Cotton oil too was unchanged on limited buying. Traders said that due to supply shortage and good demand from brands had raised groundnut oil price in last two days. But after that demand was slowerarresting the price rise.

Groundnut oil loose stood at ₹1,020-25 per 10 kg, Jamnagar line telia was ₹1,578 per 15 kg and groundnut oil new tin was traded at ₹1,700-10 per 15 kg. About 2-4 tankers were traded in Saurashtra’s mills.

According to traders, as supply of groundnut is not enough to match demand, groundnut oil price may increase in coming days. Washed cotton oil fetched ₹590-593 per 10 kg and cotton oil new tin was at ₹1,040-60 per 15 kg. About 35 tankers of cotton oil were traded here.
