Pepper markets continued to witness a firmer trend on Wednesday on good buying support amid squeezed availability. Tight supplies of high bulk density pepper could be attributed to up-trend in the prices, trade sources told Business Line . They said 10 tonnes of high range pepper including some from the Rajkumari region were traded today. Rajkumari went for ₹410 a kg while other high range material fetched ₹405 per kg. Spot prices moved up further by ₹200 a quintal to ₹39,200 (ungarbled) and ₹41,200 (garbled). Export prices were at $6,600 a tonne c&f for Europe and $6,850 for the US.
