Sugar prices at the Vashi wholesale market extended gains by ₹20-30 a quintal. Naka and mill tender rates ruled steady on Monday. On improved demand, arrivals and local dispatches remained on par at the Vashi yard. Today it was about 55-56 truck loads. Freight rates were steady at ₹110-115 per bag. The Bombay Sugar Merchants Association’s spot rates: S-grade ₹3,200-3,300 and M-grade ₹3,260-3,422. Naka delivery rates: S-grade ₹3,230-3,280 and M-grade ₹3,250-3,380.
