The International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (Icrisat) will invest $5 million in upgrading research infrastructure in Africa.
The governing body of the institute has taken a decision in this regard.
The funds will also be used for building scientific skills in the Sub-Saharan Africa.
This investment will be put in Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Malawi and Ethiopia, Icrisat Governing Board Chair Chandra Madramootoo said here in a press release on Thursday.
