Imported oils slip on weak global cues bl-premium-article-image

Imported edible oils declined by ₹1 and ₹8 for 10 kg each on Thursday as local refineries reduced their rates in line with weak futures amid slack physical demand. Groundnut oil gained ₹5. The volume in spot market was thin as stockists stayed away since they have bought adequate quantity in advance. Liberty was quoting palmolein at ₹513-515, super palmolein ₹545 and soyabean refined oil ₹622. Ruchi was quoting palmolein at ₹511, soyabean refined oil ₹620 and sunflower refined oil ₹635. Allana’s rates were: palmolein ₹515, super palmolein ₹545, soyabean refined oil ₹618 and sunflower oil ₹630.

In Saurashtra-Rajkot, groundnut oil Telia rose by ₹10 to ₹1,250 and loose (10 kg) increased by ₹10 to ₹800.

BCE spot rates (₹/10 kg): groundnut oil 820 (815), soya refined oil 612 (620), sunflower exp. ref. 585 (585), sunflower ref. 630 (630), rapeseed ref. oil 722 (722), rapeseed expeller ref. 692 (692) cottonseed ref. oil 635 (635) and palmolein 510 (511).
