Spot turmeric price improves

The price of turmeric increased on Tuesday. At the Erode Turmeric Merchants Association Sales yard, finger turmeric sold at ₹5,784-8,455 a quintal, while the root variety sold at ₹5,469-7,601. At the Regulated Marketing Committee, finger turmeric sold at ₹6,771-8,277, while the root variety sold at ₹6,539-7,580. At the Erode Cooperative Marketing Society, finger turmeric sold at ₹7,011-8,299, root variety at ₹6,369-7,489. The Gobichettipalayam Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Society saw finger turmeric sold at ₹7,669-8,759 a quintal, while the root variety went at ₹6,659-7,188.
