Sugar rules unchanged as demand eases bl-premium-article-image

Amid need-based physical demand and selling pressure at upper mill level, sluggish trend continued in sugar markets. On the Vashi wholesale market, prices were mixed by ₹2-3 a quintal in line with quality. Naka and mill tender prices remained unchanged on eased demand amid higher supply.

Arrivals at Vashi market were routine at 61-62 truck loads and local dispatches were 59-60 loads. The Bombay Sugar Merchants Association’s spot rates: S-grade ₹2,665-2,762 (₹2,665-2,762) and M-grade ₹2,782-2,942 (₹2,780-2,942). Naka delivery rates: S-grade ₹2,610-2,680 (₹2,610-2,680) and M-grade ₹2,700-2,870 (₹2,700-2,870).
