Weak cues drag cooking oils bl-premium-article-image

Sentiment in edible oils ruled weak tracking weak futures amid slack physical demand. The volume remained thin as stockists preferred to fulfil old commitments and stayed away from fresh bets. Local refineries have kept their rates unchanged. On the BCE, palmolein and sunflower oil ruled steady while groundnut, soyabean, rapeseed oil and cotton oil increased by ₹20, ₹3, ₹5 and ₹4 per 10 kg each. Vikram global commodities quoted Malaysian super palmolein at ₹520. Liberty was quoting palmolein ₹482, super palmolein ₹507, soyabean refined oil ₹615. Ruchi’s rates: palmolein ₹480, soyabean refined oil ₹605 and sunflower refined oil ₹740. Allana traded palmolein for ₹481, super palmolein ₹516, soya refined oil ₹610 and sunflower oil ₹750. In Saurashtra-Rajkot, groundnut oil telia tin was steady at ₹1,310 and loose (10 kg) at ₹825.
