Producing more evidence on the alleged nexus between realty major DLF, Robert Vadra, the son-in-law of Congress President Sonia Gandhi and the Haryana Government, the India Against Corruption on Tuesday said the replies by Vadra and DLF for the earlier allegations were a “bunch of lies.”

Anti-graft crusader Arvind Kejriwal said the Congress Government in Haryana had showered “immense benefits” on the DLF group. “Therefore, we demand that a white paper be brought out by the Government of Haryana listing all the favours done by them to the DLF group,” he said, addressing a packed press conference.

Kejriwal said the white paper should contain the details of land released in favour of DLF companies, Government, panchayat and HSIIDC land transferred to DLF, increased floor area ratio granted to DLF companies and the permissions for change in land use granted to the builder.

He said such a white paper would also prove that the deal between DLF and Vadra was not a transaction between “two friends”, but a consideration for the “favours provided to the DLF by the Haryana Government”.

Kejriwal said though there was enough evidence against Vadra, the UPA Government had stopped the Income Tax and Enforcement Directorate from taking action.

“Finance Minister P. Chidambaram is protecting Vadra. The Law Minister and the Corporate Affairs Minister are also defending him. Why should Ministers defend ‘private citizens’? This is very unfortunate,” he said.

BPTP, India Bulls on radar

Kejriwal said they had information that a lot of ‘big people’ had invested in BPTP and India Bulls. He appealed to the people to send in documents and evidence of such investments in real estate and infrastructure development companies such as BPTP, India Bulls and GMR.

BJP slams Kejriwal

The BJP, meanwhile, has accused Kejriwal of working on the Congress’ directions. Assailing his participation in a rally organised by BJP against power tariff hike in Delhi, party General Secretary Vijay Goel said Kejriwal was trying to get cheap publicity.

Goel said Kejriwal was trying to weaken the fight against the Congress Government, distribution companies and regulators. The Congress also said there was no substance in Kejriwal’s allegations and he was attacking the Congress leadership for benefits for his proposed party.

“Yes, I am working for cheap publicity. But I am not corrupt,” Kejriwal quipped.
