The Centre's fiscal deficit for the April-October period came in at Rs 4.2 lakh crore against Rs 4.1 lakh crore in the same period last year.
This reflects 79.3 per cent of the annual budgeted target of Rs 5.34 lakh crore.
Revenue deficit for the April-October 2016 period stood at Rs 3.28 lakh crore (Rs 2.87 lakh crore in same period last year).
