The Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) has approved a proposal to revise pension and other related benefits in the public utility.

This has, in turn, been sent to the State Government for its clearance, an official spokesman said here.

Issued on Tuesday, the order has mooted 12 per cent of the basic pension as on June 4, 2008/July 31, 2008 as fitment benefit.

The revision is sought to be made applicable with effect from July 2008 for retired officers and from August 2008 for retired workmen.

The one-rank-one-pension norm would apply to the revised scales, which would be granted with effect from April 2010, the spokesman added. >vinson.kurian@thehindu.co.in
