A JetLite flight from Mumbai to Patna via Ranchi suffered a bird hit, but it landed safely at the Jayaprakash Narayan International Airport here today, airline sources said.
The flight S2721 landed at Ranchi airport from where it took off at 8.35 a.m. for Patna for return journey to Mumbai, the sources said.
The flight suffered a bird hit in air but it landed safely at the airport here at 9.15 a.m. as per schedule, they said, adding that all the passengers and crew onboard the plane were safe.
The sources disclosed that some snag had been detected after thorough check up of the engines following the bird hit and engineers were attending to.
The number of passengers on the aircraft was not yet known.
