The Visakhapatnam port has established a record in loading of steel mill scale in a day, according to a press release.
A quantity of 17,500 tonnes with a hook output of 1,591 tonnes of steel mill scale was loaded into m.v. Lord Curzon on behalf of Crest Merchandise Private Ltd, West Bengal, at East Quay - 4.

The previous best was 11,076 tonnes in bulk with a hook output of 852 tonnes loaded into m.v. Pataliputra on August 11, 2010. Vast Maritime India Private Ltd are the stevedores and Sea Trans Marine Private Ltd the steamer agents for m.v. Lord Curzon.
