Ashok Leyland bags ₹298-crore bus order from TN State Transport Corporation

Ashok Leyland announced on Wednesday that it has secured an order for supply of 320 BS VI diesel-powered 12M low-floor fully-built buses to the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) for ₹298 crore.

According to the company, these ultra-low-entry rear-engine buses are designed for city operations and feature advanced iGen 6 BS VI technology, with an H-Series engine delivering 184 kW (246 hp). They are also equipped with front and rear air suspension for enhanced comfort. The delivery of these buses is scheduled between June 2025 and August 2025.
