British Airways to increase London-Chennai services

Sources said that from summer schedule 2013, the airline will operate six times a week between the two cities.

British Airways plans to increase the number of flights it operates between Chennai and London from early next year.

Confirming the development, sources said that from summer schedule 2013, the airline will operate six times a week between the two cities. Currently the airline operates five times a week between Chennai and London.

Globally, the airline’s summer schedule starts at the end of March. The additional flight will be operated with a Boeing 777 aircraft. The day of the week when the sixth flight will operate was not immediately available.

The airline currently operates 45 weekly flights to Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai.
