Hyderabad Metro work to start soon

The work on Hyderabad Metro railway would start soon, the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, said here on Monday.

The foundation stone for the mega project that is estimated to cost about Rs 12,000 crore would be laid soon, a press release from the Chief Minister's office quoted Mr Reddy as saying after inaugurating a sports complex at Chanda Nagar here.

The State Government would also spend Rs 9,000 crore to improve conditions in slums and for infrastructure facilities in the city, he said.
