Company defers first quarter results

Amid rising concerns over the airline’s financial health and proposed salary reductions for employees, the Jet Airways chairman Naresh Goyal said on Thursday (August 9) a new committee would be set up to improve public perception and negative publicity about it.

Jet Airways has not approached the Government for any help at the moment, RN Choubey, Civil Aviation Secretary, said on the sidelines of an aviation seminar organised by Assocham.

He indicated that DGCA is monitoring the situation.

Jet Airways on Thursday decided to defer the first quarter results.

Shares of Jet Airways today plunged 14 per cent and touched its 52-week low in morning trade.
