Travellers will receive additional frequent-flyer miles

Full-service airline Jet Airways on Monday launched a new marketing campaign called The Billion Miles Festival to boost sales in a traditionally weak fourth quarter.

Under the new offer, flyers will receive additional 1,500 miles for every flight they take from February 21 till March 31, if the flight is booked on Jet Airways app or web portal and the flyer is enrolled under the airline’s frequent flyer programme, JetPrivilege.

Travellers taking business or first class will get 5,000 and 10,000 bonus miles, respectively.

The bonus JetPrivilege Miles (JPMiles) will be over and above the existing JPMiles guests usually earn.

More contests

The airline will also run attractive contests on its social-media channels during the period of the promotion, the company said.

The Billion Miles Festival will also see Jet Airways announce one lucky winner every day during the promotion period, who will have 100,000 JPMiles credited to their JetPrivilege membership account.

Jackpot

There will also be a grand jackpot prize for one lucky winner, who will receive 1 million JPMiles. Winners can redeem their JPMiles for award tickets on Jet Airways and partner airline flights across the globe.

Jayaraj Shanmugam, Chief Commercial Officer, Jet Airways, said: “Guests can earn JPMiles and redeem them against flights across our extensive network. Be it London to Leh or Brussels to Brisbane, our global network and connectivity with strategic code-share partners will enable guests to make the most of The Billion Miles Festival.”

Manish Dureja, Managing Director, JetPrivilege Pvt Ltd, said: “This new offer strengthens our overall value proposition for our members and our commitment of always making their travel experience rewarding and memorable.”
