Kingfisher Airlines is preparing a revival plan, covering both operational and financial aspects, and will submit it to the Directorate- General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) in due course.
This was conveyed to the DGCA Arun Mishra at a meeting here on Friday. The DGCA was also informed that for the next three-four months, the airline was not expecting any investor or bank to pump in money. Kingfisher CEO Sanjay Aggarwal said that at present the source of funding for the airline would be through its own resources.
The revival plan is likely to be discussed with the airline promoter Vijay Mallya before it is presented to the DGCA, sources said.
The meeting with the DGCA comes barely 24 hours after the airline’s employees agreed to come back to work as the management released back salaries. At Friday’s meeting, the DGCA told the airline that it would want all major stakeholders, such as airport operators, oil companies, MRO and the Airports Authority of India, to be taken on board for supporting the airline’s revival plan.
The DGCA might also hold consultations with various stakeholders to ascertain whether their dues have been cleared before giving its nod to the airline to restart operations.
The airline was also asked to work out a winter schedule and file this keeping in mind the number of aircraft it has. Sources said that the slots vacated by Kingfisher Airlines, due to ceased operations, have not been given away.
