Midhani pays Rs 37.5-cr dividend to govt

The Hyderabad-based Mishra Dhatu Nigam Ltd (Midhani), a defence enterprise, has declared a dividend of Rs 37.47 crore for the year 2014-15 at the rate of 20 per cent on the paid-up share capital of Rs 187.34 crore.

D K Likhi, Chairman & Managing Director, along with directors handed over the cheque to Manohar Parikar, Raksha Mantri, today in New Delhi. This is the fourth consecutive year when the company has paid full dividend to the Government as per guidelines.

The company has achieved a sales turnover of Rs 655 crore in 2014-15 and is poised to cross Rs 700 crore during the current fiscal.

Midhani has installed a 20 tonne arc furnace during 2015-16. It is taking up a major project for the manufacturing of wide plate under ‘Make-in-India’ programme, according to a press release.

Midhani, set up primarily for self reliance in critical materials, has been supporting programmes of national importance in strategic sectors, including space, defence, and atomic energy.
