N.V.S. Reddy to be AP Govt nominee on L&T Metro Rail board

The Andhra Pradesh Government has appointed Managing Director of Hyderabad Metro Rail Ltd, Mr N.V.S. Reddy, as the Government Director on the Board of Directors of L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad Ltd (L&TMRHL).

The L&TMRHL is a special purpose vehicle company established by the construction major L&T to develop Hyderabad metro rail project under the public, private partnership mode.

Mr Y.M. Deosthalee is its Chairman and Mr V.B.Gadgil, Managing Director. Other directors include Mr K. Venkatesh of L&T, Mr S.N. Talwar, Ms Sheela Bhide, retired IAS officer and Mr Ajit Rangnekar, Dean Indian School of Business.

The Rs 16,375-crore metro rail project, which includes real estate development component of Rs 2,243 crore, seeks to decongest three dense corridors with an elevated metro rail across 72 km stretch.

The project is to be completed over the next four-five years. The work on the project has begun with designs ready and back end works already commencing.
