Congratulating the Railway Minister, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the Rail Budget has focused on increasing investments by nearly two-and-a-half times which will help in the future development of the country.
He said the budget has focused on initiatives for upgradation of technology, accountability to customers, as well as bringing in cost efficiencies.
The budget would also provide a boost to the economy. He also said the budget has given a roadmap for participation of state governments.
He added that it has also fulfilled the government’s promise for better connectivity in the North-East region, besides focusing on initiatives for cleanliness and further enhancement of customer benefits.
