The Palakkad division of Southern Railway has set up 26 Jansadharan Ticket Booking Sewak (JTBS) centres, including one at Mangalore, under its jurisdiction.
A press release said here that the main objective of the centres is to reduce the passenger rush in front of booking counters at Railway stations and to help passengers buy tickets without waiting in long queues.
Purchase of senior citizen concession tickets and renewal of season tickets can also be done at the JTBS centres, it said.
The release requested passengers to avail this facility to avoid last-minute rush at ticket booking counters at station.
