South Eastern Rlys posts 11% growth in passenger earnings

South Eastern Railway (SER) posted nearly 11 per cent growth in passenger earnings at Rs 1,245 crore during last fiscal.

According to a press release, SER earned Rs 58.06 crore from suburban passengers and Rs 1,187.19 crore from non-suburban passengers.

During this period, SER carried 271.12 million passengers against 262.90 million passengers in 2011-12, up by a little more than three per cent.

Of the total traffic, it carried 128.62 million suburban passengers and 142.50 million non-suburban passengers.
