Malaysia keen on exploring trade relations with India

Malaysia today expressed keen interest in exploring bilateral trade relations with India.

The Newly appointed Consul General of Malaysia in Chennai, Chitra Devi Ramiah, who called on Tamil Nadu Governor K Rosaiah, said she looked forward for promotion of cultural exchange, exploring more avenues in trade and investments between the two countries.

In her brief interaction with the Governor at the Raj Bhavan, Ramiah said students from Malaysia were keen on pursuing medical and dentistry education in India.

She also said she had met the industry leaders of Andhra Pradesh and extended her interest to meet the captains of the industries in Tamil Nadu for promotion of new ventures in both the countries, a Raj Bhavan release here said.

Rosaiah, who also holds the post of South Zone Cultural Centre Chairman, said more cultural exchange programmes would pave the way for strengthening the socio-cultural relations between India and Malaysia, the release added.
