Natural gas production up 5.7% in July

Crude oil production during July 2017 stood at 3.06 million tonnes (mt), while natural gas production during the period was 2858.50 MMSCM.

Compared to July 2016 the country's crude oil production was down 0.53 per cent, while natural gas production was 5.69 per cent higher. Refinery production during July 2017 was 20.53 mt, which is 3.25 per cent lower when compared with July 2016.

Natural gas production by OIL during July 2017 was 250.23 MMSCM, which is 2.3 per cent lower than July 2016. Natural gas production by ONGC during July 2017 was 2055.12 MMSCM, which is 12.69 per cent higher when compared with July 2016. Natural gas production by private and joint ventures during July 2017 was 553.15 MMSCM, which is 11.47 per cent lower when compared with July 2016.

Crude oil production by ONGC during July 2017 was 1.91 mt, which is 2.66 per cent higher when compared with July 2016. Crude oil production by OIL during July 2017 was 0.28 mt, which is 5.73 per cent higher than production in July 2016. Crude oil production by private and joint ventures during July 2017 was 0.85 mt, which is 8.72 per cent lower than July 2016.
